I can recall using the gift of claircognizance as early as middle school. Constantly “guessing” details about other students I had no relationship to or prior conversations with. Empathy was a more common and openly discussed topic. I didn't, however, view it as a gift. Everyone's got a heart right?
Always sensitive to energy and how to stabilize it (God bless older siblings) I unintentionally developed my gifts. Naturally, when an immediate family member was diagnosed with a chronic medical disease, I went to work researching ways to help. Enter chakra healing.
Intrigued, and with a familiar humming in my spirit, I continued my search, hungry to uncover more unexplored territory.
My studies led me from chakras to crystals, herbs, astrology, numerology, and finally back to the Tarot. “Coincidentally” I was gifted my own deck just five years earlier. The moment my fingers reacquainted themselves with a modernized Rider-Waite deck I knew I discovered my life’s passion. All the work, time, and energy I spend healing others in the Tarot taught me to direct and protect myself first. It provided me with a sense of peace and bliss I searched for in my entire adolescence.
My wish today is to provide the reading, conversation, hug, or random compliment to spark a similar journey of healing, love, and self-acceptance within those that seek it.
