    About Me:

Quick info: The best way to receive a Cards of Destiny reading and how it works:
I use the 52 cards from a regular set of playing cards. The reading starts by getting your birthday to find out your birth card and anyone else you'd like to know about who may or may not show up in your reading, so it's best to know or write down some birthdays of people in your circle if you can. From there your age and birth card determine the card of your 52-day cycle that you're currently 'transiting' which will be connected to a planetary influence as in astrology. By looking at the seven 52-day transits per year I can get a feel for how your year is going, cycling from your last birthday to your next. We can zoom in to shorter stretches of time or zoom out to larger ones. One of the strongest points of the Destiny Card system is access to very specific time windows for when events are destined to happen throughout the year and how to best prepare for them.
Some finer points of the cards: the cards themselves are more symbolic in their traditional suit formations (or pictures in the case of the court cards) and have a close connection to numerology. They may also represent influences of actual people in your life represented by the birth card of people you know and varied where their card appears in your cards. That said you have the option to be prepared for the reading by knowing the birthdays of whomever you wish in order to find what their influence or role may be in your life. I may ask some preliminary questions of you(or someone per say) like occupation, relationship status, any children, etc. to help me tune in and get an idea of what the reading is going to be about as well as finding out what the questions for the reading are if any. From there I get more psychic or intuitive impressions about you. An important thing to know about the cards is that they are read subjectively and relate to what your experience will be at any given time. It usually has obvious indications for what will happen, or has happened but not always. As an example, a card may signal a change in a relationship which would mean something different for someone who is single as opposed to someone who is partnered. From my viewpoint, posing questions for me to answer allows me to give more substance and context to the things I'm seeing in the cards as we work together but many opt for general reading and it works out well that way too. Questions quite often come toward the end of the reading.

A short passage about me: Darrow is an exciting name to have as a first name especially when you're unaware that it is your first name until age 13. This was the case for me and I always shunned using the name as a youngster feeling that I would probably use it for a special purpose someday later. The name Darrow comes from Celtic perhaps Druidic background translating to "black man of the oaks". I found that the emblem of the card system is the Ace of Spades or the big black spade itself which is symbolic of an acorn and the oak tree or death/rebirth. I began to see that perhaps the "black" part of the phrase "black man of the oaks" goes beyond a description of dark physical features or anything like that, but I digress. Tarot by Mystic Darrow is a natural fit.
